Bristol end of year jazz

December 21, 2015

Pretty quiet this week, so no need for a listing. The jazz hungry can go down to the Canteen on Wednesday, though, for Guy Calhoun‘s organ trio.

After Christmas, Andy Sheppard is booked into the Alma Theatre on December 30th for a rare solo show, which ought to be a great way to end the jazz year. The website says it’s sold out, alas, so good listening to those who have tickets!

It’s going to get busy after that, though. There’s a mass of stuff in January, with Ian Storror offering no less than four Sunday night gigs at the Hen and Chicken, including one for Mr Sheppard, and good things coming up for 2016 at Colston Hall, St George’s and elsewhere. These deserve a separate preview, in addition to this blog’s regular note of weekly gigs, and that’ll be along shortly.
